If you sneeze and ask for a Kleenex(R) would you really care if I handed you a Puff(R)?  The test of a brand is not just in recognition, but also in reaction.  When a brand name becomes a surrogate for a product name it is a symbol of achievement, but also a sign of weakened differentiation.</description>
